It was launched in August 2023 by Exahertz International, a subsidiary of Al Afaq Technology, with support from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

Balushi informed that the aim of Raysut Industrial City is to attract further investments and create job opportunities for citizens. “The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates - Madayn - is actively working to enhance services and infrastructure to support this goal.”

The city has been instrumental in advancing industrial development in Dhofar for over three decades. It offers a residential complex with integrated facilities to accommodate workers, alongside a civil defence centre ensuring safety and security for companies and factories.

The strategic location of Raysut Industrial City, near Port of Salalah and Salalah Airport, as well as its proximity to the Yemeni market and Saudi Arabia, further enhances its appeal to investors. The Masar service centre within the industrial city facilitates investor needs, streamlining licensing and approval processes with relevant entities.
