Dakhliyah Municipality announces 3-day cultural extravaganza

Dakhliyah Municipality will hold ‘Ramadan Ghaith Forum’, in collaboration with Tanuf Volunteer Team, on March 21-22 and April 5.

Featuring entertainment, arts, sports and cultural programmes, the event aims to cater to the diverse needs and aspirations of a wide cross-section of society.

The event will be held at Nizwa Souq Square on the first two days, followed by another site prepared at the Tanuf Volunteer Team headquarters on April 5. By taking the event to two different locations, the municipality aims to attract more visitors and ensure widespread participation.

The agenda for the three-day event is diverse and engaging, featuring entertaining competitions, children's activities, poetry recitals, chanting sessions, theatrical performances, sports, and interactions with media professionals, poets and singers.

Additionally, informative sessions with doctors and a fire show performed by pyrotechnicians will enrich the forum's offerings.

The municipality stated that it is committed to providing a rich tapestry of family-friendly, cultural and entertainment activities. By encouraging collaborations between public and private agencies, and charitable teams and institutions, the event aims to strengthen community bonds and promote social cohesion.

‘It will offer a platform for citizens to benefit from shared expertise, experiences and efforts in organising and supporting events, thereby enhancing the overall well-being of the community.’
