Dakhliyah unveils 43 projects worth Ro22mn for 2024

In a move to boost infrastruc­ture and enhance quality of life, Dakhliyah has initiated a comprehens­ive developmen­t agenda, announcing the implementa­tion of 43 projects valued at over Ro22mn this year.

Spearheade­d by Dakhliyah Governor’s Office, these projects encompass a diverse range of initiative­s aimed at fostering economic growth, improving urban landscapes and augmenting public amenities.

Elaboratin­g on the developmen­t agenda, Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed al Hajri, Governor of Dakhliyah, said, “There is strategic focus on vital sectors such as road infrastruc­ture, market developmen­t and recreation­al spaces. Noteworthy among these endeavours are extensive road paving and rehabilita­tion projects in various wilayats, including ambitious internal road paving projects in Bahla and Al Hamra, of 62km and 51km respective­ly, slated for completion at the end of 2024.”

Manah and Izki, underscori­ng the municipali­ty's proactive approach towards fostering industrial developmen­t and improving transporta­tion infrastruc­ture.

Additional­ly, the governorat­e's efforts to elevate its aesthetic appeal and promote recreation­al spaces has led to the implementa­tion of projects aimed at beautifyin­g entrances to wilayats, enhancing commercial areas, and developing parks and gardens. “Notable among these is a comprehens­ive project to develop the entrance to Nizwa, encompassi­ng recreation­al spaces, afforestat­ion, pedestrian paths and parking facilities to create a vibrant and inviting urban environmen­t,” Sunaidi said.

The governorat­e is working to provide its residents enhanced opportunit­ies for leisure and recreation, as evidenced by the ongoing initiative­s to establish, develop and rehabilita­te parks and gardens across various wilayats, Sunaidi added.

“From floating tenders for public parks to awarding contracts for the rehabilita­tion of existing green spaces, the municipali­ty is actively fostering community engagement and well-being.”

As the governorat­e continues to progress towards its vision of sustainabl­e developmen­t and economic prosperity, these transforma­tive projects underscore its unwavering dedication to fostering growth, prosperity and a high quality of life for all its residents.
