- Our Correspondent

As part of efforts to stimulate the economy and support the agricultural and industrial sectors, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP) has allocated over 155 acres of land through the Tatweer platform for investment in North Sharqiyah.

Within this allocation, 19 plots of land are earmarked for investment opportunities, strategically distributed across the governorate.

MHUP has designated ten opportunities for grape cultivation projects, and nine for agricultural and industrial ventures, including three for establishing water bottling plants and six palm cultivation and date production projects.

The ten investment opportunities for grape cultivation projects will be provided in the wilayat of Ibra, covering a total area of 100 acres. The plots in

Al Haima are strategically located near Sharqiyah Expressway, where conditions are favourable for grape cultivation.

The six investment opportunities for palm cultivation and date production are located in the Tawi Hamad area of the wilayat of Bidiyah, totalling an estimated area of 55.5 acres. These projects will utilise agricultural land belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, with modern agricultural infrastructure facilitated through private sector investment.

The three opportunities for establishing water purification and bottling plants are in Ibra, Al Qabil and Sinaw. All three projects, spread over an estimated 2,000sqm each, will employ cutting-edge technologies and equipment to ensure filtration, sterilisation, packaging and distribution of water in compliance with stringent health standards.
