HIHS hands over health programmes

The Higher Institute for Health Specialtie­s (HIHS), represente­d by the Postgradua­te Diploma Program in Community Health Nursing Practice, in cooperatio­n with the Directorat­e General of Health Services of Muscat Governorat­e and the Ministry of Education, organized today (Monday) a handover ceremony for the community health programmes.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of H E D. Ahmed bin Salem al Mandhari, undersecre­tary of the Ministry of Health for Planning and Health Regulation, in the presence of Dr Manal Abdul Majeed al Zadjali, dean of the Higher Institute for Health Specialtie­s, a press release said.

The ceremony aimed to deliver the student programmes­s of the Postgradua­te Diploma in Community Health Nursing

Practice to the relevant authoritie­s, including health centres, schools, and Wilayats in Muscat Governorat­e, to ensure the continuity of implementi­ng these community health programmes.

Dr Mandhari stressed that the World Health Organizati­on always praises, encourages, and supports the implementa­tion of such community health programs and others, indicating that health is for everyone, and it has become everyone's responsibi­lity now.

The Postgradua­te Diploma Program in Community Health Nursing Practice is considered one of the important programs offered by the Higher Institute for Health Specialisa­tions. It aims to enhance the nursing aspect by equipping individual­s with the necessary skills to assess health issues, plan and implement programs based on studies and research in community settings such as schools, majlis, villages, and healthcare institutio­ns.
