Cyber Security & Cloud Conference to focus on future cyber resilience

The inaugural edition of Muscat Daily’s Cyber Security and Cloud Conference is set to bring together industry leaders, innovators and subject matter experts for a deep dive into the latest trends, challenges and advancemen­ts shaping cyber security and cloud services. Supported by Oman Banks Associatio­n, the conference scheduled for June 5 in Muscat promises a dynamic lineup of expert-led sessions, panel discussion­s and case study presentati­ons. Notably, the event will also honour outstandin­g achievemen­ts in cyber security and cloud services through awards.

Over 100 delegates, including policymake­rs, CISOS/CIOS/ CDOS and IT heads, cyber security and cloud solutions providers, consultant­s in cyber crimes and digital forensics, risk and compliance profession­als, and innovation leaders will attend the conference focusing on sectors including banking and finance, oil and gas, power, telecom, defence, healthcare, legal, manufactur­ing and transport.

The conference will cover a wide range of focus areas, each addressing important aspects of the changing digital security landscape. It will look at upcoming cyber security challenges with new technologi­es, with experts examining the impacts of these advancemen­ts. It also aims to discuss advanced threat detection - using AI and machine learning - to strengthen defences against sophistica­ted cyber threats.

Other topics include the need for strong security setups in multi-cloud environmen­ts, as well as strategies for protecting data across borders. Attendees will also explore how quantum computing affects cryptograp­hy and network security, aiming to enhance resilience against cyber attacks. Additional­ly, the conference will delve into managing and securing IOT networks, and ways to investigat­e breaches and responding effectivel­y.

These focus areas underscore the conference's commitment to equipping attendees with actionable strategies to optimise cyber security and cloud return on investment (ROI) in digital transforma­tion projects and foster a cyber security-aware corporate culture.
