OMANI STU­DENTS RE­WARDED FOR EL­E­VAT­ING OMAN’S EN­ERGY IN­DUS­TRY R&D ECOSYS­TEM

Four Omani stu­dents were rec­og­nized at the com­mem­o­ra­tive 5th an­niver­sary Gulf In­tel­li­gence Oman En­ergy fo­rum in the pres­ence of 250 se­nior en­ergy in­dus­try ex­ec­u­tives.

The Awards pre­sented by H.E. Ta­lal AlRahbi, Deputy Sec­re­tary Gen­eral, Supreme Coun­cil for Plan­ning, Oman and Steve Kelly, Pres­i­dent & Gen­eral Man­ager of Oc­ci­den­tal Oman show­cased the com­mit­ment to un­der­pin the align­ment be­tween in­dus­try and academia, and cel­e­brate Oman’s en­ergy in­dus­try’s fu­ture in­ven­tors and sci­en­tists.

The Win­ners of the Oc­ci­den­tal Oman Stu­dent Awards 2017 for the Ad­vance­ment of Post-Grad­u­ate Ed­u­ca­tion are: Dr. Khalid Al Hi­nai, PhD in En­hanced Oil Re­cov­ery, Sul­tan Qa­boos Univer­sity; Ahmed Al Ha­trooshi, PhD re­searcher in Chem­i­cal En­gi­neer­ing, New­cas­tle Univer­sity; Ha­jir Al Farsi, Masters in Pe­tro­leum and Nat­u­ral Gas En­gi­neer­ing, Sul­tan Qa­boos Univer­sity; and Ahmed Salim Al-Shereiqi, Masters in Elec­tri­cal and Com­puter En­gi­neer­ing, Sul­tan Qa­boos Univer­sity.
