AIWA AWARDS TO FELICITATE THE BEST CORPORATE PERFORMERS

Come August 7, Oman will witness the most high profile event of its kind targeted primarily at the top echelons of the business community in the Sultanate. Setting up new benchmarks in the industry, corporates in Oman will be felicitated based on a highly qualitative performance survey. To recognise the top achievers in Oman’s corporate world, Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (AIWA) had instituted the annual Awards for Oman’s Best Performing Companies in 2011. AIWA, published by United Media Services, is Oman’s leading Arabic business magazine. This year marks the eighth edition of the AIWA Awards. In a red carpet awards evening at Hotel Sheraton, Muscat on August 7, AIWA will felicitate the top performing listed companies in Oman during the last financial year. Overall 15 Top Ranking Companies will receive the coveted trophy across three categories. Furthermore, special Awards will be presented for achievements that go beyond the balance sheet such as Lifetime Achievement, Excellence in Corporate Leadership, CEO of the Year, Young Business Leader, Most Innovative Start-Up, Excellence in SME Development, Most Promising Entrepreneur and Innovation & Technology. A networker’s dream, the event will be attended by the who’s who of the corporate sector. The premium event will attract more than 150 top business leaders, CEOs and senior government officials from a crosssection of industries, ministries and government bodies. It will witness the congregation of the key decisionmakers who are driving the country’s business and economy.
