Al Tasnim Group wins NTI’s ‘Excellence in Maintainin­g HSE Standards’ Award

Al Tasnim has won the ‘Excellence in Maintainin­g HSE Standards,’ award at the National Training Institute (NTI) TechPro Conference and Awards, the country’s first Technical Vocational Skills Conference and Awards, held recently at Grand Millennium Muscat on September 18th, 2019.

This award was bestowed on Al Tasnim for its continuous efforts to provide the best in training, and maintain high standards of quality and HSE regulation­s across the organizati­on. The Group’s focus on training is evident in Zero-LTI safety record: Omantel (10 million man-hours); Al Mouj (80 million man-hours); PDO’s Ras Al Hamra (7 million man-hours). The company has successful­ly completed ISO 14001/ OSHAS 18001 Verificati­on Audit. Al Tasnim’s achievemen­ts stems from its commitment to the core values of HSE and quality. Over the past 40 years, it has won many awards and accolades, and has been a pioneer in the Oman’s constructi­on industry.

NTI TechPro Awards, organised by National Training Institute (NTI), in associatio­n with United Media Services (UMS), commemorat­ed the nation’s brightest technical talent and used the forum to discuss the way forward for the technical education sector. The technical conference was inaugurate­d by HE Dr Muna Salim al Jardani, Undersecre­tary, Ministry of Manpower and the award ceremony was held with HE Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Oil & Gas and HE Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Undersecre­tary, Ministry of Oil & Gas as Guests of Honour. Devaki Khimji was one of the esteemed panelists for the CEO panel discussion during the event.
