MUSCAT EYE LASER CENTER RECEIVES OMAN’S BEST LASIK AND CATARACT CENTER AWARD

Oman’s top companies gathered at the W Hotel in Muscat for the Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (AIWA) Awards 2019. Guests included His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, and His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

At the event, Muscat Eye Laser Center (MELC) was awarded Oman’s Best LASIK and Cataract Center 2019. The eye clinic, founded in 2002 by businessman Sameer Al Awam and internationally known Refractive Surgeon Dr. Maria Clara Arbelaez, has been at the forefront of Ophthalmology, setting international standards and providing the people of Oman premium eye care they can trust.

MELC is the first and only eye center in the Gulf to receive international accreditation by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHSI). It has also been recognised for leading the Ophthalmic field in the Sultanate and pushing the boundaries of Ophthalmology through hard work and innovation.
