MUSCAT — His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received here yesterday Ahmed Luqman, Secretary General of the Arab Labour Organization (ALO).
HH Sayyid Fahd reaffirmed the Sultanate's appreciation for the role of the ALO in developing co-operation among Arab countries and improving the exchange of expertise for more productivity. HH Sayyid Fahd pointed out that the Sultanate has utilised all resources and potentials to develop human resources and labour laws, which led to development of national manpower and its contribution to sustainable growth.
The meeting also touched on ways of fostering co-operation between the Sultanate and the ALO in the field of labour, vocational training and technical specialties.
Luqman said he was delighted to visit the Sultanate. He commended the achievements made at the domestic and foreign levels within the framework of the comprehensive renaissance led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos.
He valued the Sultanate’s support to ALO, which enabled it to carry out its mission.
He also expressed ALO’S preparedness to contribute with its expertise in various sectors and, at the same time, benefiting from the Sultanate's experience in various sectors.
