Meet on cardiac medicine from tomorrow
With so many participants, including more than 70 experts, and over 50 related topics to be discussed on coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, electrocardiography, electrophysiology, cardiac imaging by echocardiography, MRI, CT and coronary angiography, the conference is sure to bring in good results and provide information and understanding on latest techniques, technology and findings.
Besides this, there will be three workshops during the conference — on echocardiography, electrocardiography and on how to conduct research. It also gives participants a chance to exchange knowledge and meeting renowned experts in the field on a one-to-one basis.
The experts will be chairing scientific sessions and giving workshops and lectures. A large exhibition area located at the venue will give a glimpse of new research, state-of-theart equipment and new medicines and will also include a stall of the American Heart Association.

Later this month, the commencement of a new study on acute heart failure is to be prepared here in Oman for the entire GCC member states and Yemen, known as the ‘Gulf Registry of Acute Heart Failure’ (Gulf CARE), with Dr Kadhim being Investigator.
The doctors noted, it is imperative that a healthy lifestyle is learnt from a very young age, as a majority of heart related diseases are preventable, and especially as certain preventable diseases are on the rise in Oman.
