Gutech to hold engineering conference

MUSCAT — German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) is organising a conference on “Engineering Shaping the Future", which aims at creating awareness about the potential of this branch of science and studying new perspectives and opportunities available in the world and in Oman. The conference will be held on January 22.

Senior professors from RWTH Aachen University in Germany and experts from leading local engineering companies are expected to take part in this conference.

Considering the big role played by engineering in manufacturing and other production methods, the conference will help educate participants to improve their knowledge and skills, said Stephanie Balters, at the University of Gutech.

The leading speakers will shed light on the latest developments in engineering and will also present the current challenges being faced by the engineering industry.

The conference also will discuss about co-operation between various industries and the solutions offered by the engineering industry.

According to Stephanie Balters, besides industries and companies related to engineering, the conference will add value to students and scholars by enriching their knowledge.

“Students and scholars will be able to discover the importance of this science and take advantage of the many opportunities offered by it,” Stephanie Balters added.
