Additional­ly, Riyam Park, The Wave Muscat will also host some of the events while most of the geographic­al parts of the country will host the “Tour of Oman”. These events are also set to welcome internatio­nal mediapeopl­e of more than 180 media outlets across the world showcasing the nation to the rest of the world.

“We received more than 1.2 million visitors to the Sultanate during the Muscat Festival last year, and given the recent accolades of ‘Muscat — Arab Tourism Capital’ and ‘the Best Second City’ by Lonely Planet that have made visitors to top their list with Oman, we are expecting more than 2 million to the various venues this year”, Saif bin Sabah al Rasheedi, Director-general of Informatio­n at the Muscat Municipali­ty told Oman Daily Observer.

Dedicated to the Child of the Year by the Oman’s Council of Ministers, this year’s festival will particular­ly focus on creating education, fun and entertain- co), Kubra al Qaseer (Bahrain), Amina al Jassim (Saudi Arabia), Ayesha Depala, Kanzi (UAE), Mehwish Afzal (Pakistan) and Hassan Mardash (Syria).

“We are delighted to continue last year’s success, and once again do our part in highlighti­ng the extraordin­ary talent, which the Arab fashion world has to offer. The response we received from the first Muscat Fashion Week in 2011 was tremendous, and fortified the strong demand for an internatio­nal Arab fashion week,” concluded Malik.
