Majlis Addawla to debate economic panel report on Banking Law amendments

MUSCAT — The Majlis Addawla will hold its 8th regular meeting of the rst annual sitting of the 5th term today under the chairmanship of Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the Majlis Addawla.

The meeting will approve minutes of the previous meeting and review the report of the Secretariat General on activities of the Majlis Addawla for the period, which falls between the 6th meet- ing and this meeting.

The meeting will discuss a report by the Economic Committee on draft amendments to some provisions of the Banking Law promulgated by the Royal Decree No 114/2000, which was referred by the Majlis Ash’shura.

The meeting will also discuss the Education Committee’s report on the Education Law and a report by the Human Resources Development Committee on a draft decision proposing the Majlis Addawla’s desire to review policies and laws governing the administrative performance of departments at the State’s service units.

The meeting will conclude after approving the Majlis Addawla’s draft budget for 2013. The members will also review a number of other issues on the agenda regarding the activities of the Majlis Addawla. — ONA
