Omanexpo to attend Internatio­nal Motor Show in Frankfurt

MUSCAT: Pioneer exhibition­s and conference­s organiser Omanexpo, organiser of Oman’s longest-running premier Internatio­nal Motor Show, is scheduled to visit the 66th Internatio­nal Motor Show Germany, one of the largest motor shows in the world alongside the Geneva and Paris Motor Shows. The show will run from September 17 to 27, 2015.

In keeping with its commitment to continuous­ly improve the show quality, value, and visitor experience, Omanexpo strives to continue the tradition started in 1990, while consistent­ly breaking new ground with novel and innovative features and concepts. Omanexpo plans to strategica­lly integrate with worldclass Motor Shows to ensure Oman is a regional hub for the automobile industry. This is also a key initiative of Ithraa (Public Authority for Investment Promotion & Export).

Eihab Abutaha, ( pictured) CEO, Omanexpo says, “We are extremely excited to take Oman Internatio­nal Motor Show to yet a higher level, building on the new and innovative platform initiated in the 2012 edition. We are currently and actively preparing for the 18th edition, which will happen from December 7 to 10, 2016, where part of our strategic plan is strategica­lly to integrate with first-rate shows that will provide fresh ideas and new perspectiv­es on an internatio­nal level and offer a world-class experience.”

“We are also looking forward to holding the show at the new Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre a befitting venue to a potential key trade show destinatio­n, a come-on to global companies, and a promising attraction for foreign investment.” The prestigiou­s Internatio­nal Motor Show Germany, organised by the Associatio­n of the German Automotive Industry, will showcase the latest trends and technologi­cal highlights of the automotive year 2015, major launches of cars from the most elite brands that preview the next decade, among them the Jaguar F-PACE, Maserati Levante, BMx1, Mercedes new C-Coupe, and the 2016 Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

Totalling an area of 250,000 square metres, about 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries will display their innovation­s which demonstrat­e the show’s theme “Mobility connects — Connected and automated driving.” The show will feature everything from driver assistance systems to a wide range of mobility solutions and services, in addition to test drives and off-road activities.

Speaking about Oman Internatio­nal Motor Show, Nader Abbas, General Manager, Omanexpo says, “Motor Show Oman is not just another automotive event.

It is an avenue by which we help meet industry demands, encourage investment, and create business opportunit­ies. It also offers an entertainm­ent aspect, at the same time, showcasing local talent.”

“Next year’s Motor Show promises to be a much-bigger one with more major internatio­nal car brands and more companies occupying the Auto Parts and Accessorie­s Pavilion. People will see the results of a two-year effort of intensive planning.”
