ISG students shine at 6th International English Olympiad
The students who put in a wonderful performance were tested on their skills in communication and use of English language
MUSCAT: ISG students reaped a rich haul of medals and prizes in the 6th International English Olympiad conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation in association with British Council.
It is indeed a marvellous achievement by the students of ISG who bagged 60 Gold Medals of Excellence and Merit Certificates of Excellence.
With 10 International Rankers to its credit, ISG boasts of the wonderful performance of the students who have made a mark.
International Rank 1 awardees are Shreya Shenod, Sabyasachi Choudhury, Arsh Zahid Shaikh and Mansi Deepak of Class 3, Simran Khanna of Class 4 and Adveteeya Ganti of Class 9 who will receive Gifts Worth 1,000 cash prize along with a Gold Medal. Pooja Ashokan of Class 7 who secured the 2nd rank at the International level will be awarded with Gifts Worth 1,000 along with a Silver Medal.
The Rank 3 awardees to receive 1,000 cash prize along with a Bronze Medal are Farhan Hashim and Israa Shaikh of Class 3 and Janainah Fazlin cash prize Anam of Class 9.
The content of the tests is designed to focus on communication and use of English language.
It enables students to improve their acumen and expand their vocabulary.
The performance is rated at the International level, State level and also School level.
It also attempts to develop a spirit of competitiveness among students as there are millions of students across the globe who compete every year to make a mark.
