SMEs to explore business opportunit­ies at OFEC

MUSCAT: The first version of Oman Franchise Exhibition and Conference (OFEC 2016) will kick off in October in order to enable SMEs to explore various business opportunit­ies and the acquisitio­n of knowledge and insights on the latest developmen­ts and opportunit­ies in the franchise industry.

The three-day conference and exhibition is organised by Al Nimr Expo, in collaborat­ion with the Middle East and North Africa Franchise Associatio­n (MENAFA), as well as the support of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), the Public Authority for the Developmen­t of Small and Medium Enterprise­s (Riyada), the Omani-American Commercial Centre and the British Board of Trade and Investment.

The exhibition brings together major internatio­nal franchise brands and competent authoritie­s in the field of franchise associatio­ns that will provide a variety of trade and investment opportunit­ies for Omani entreprene­urs wishing to start their own business or to internatio­nally export their brand.

Internatio­nal experts will take part to showcase their scientific and practical expertise in franchisin­g and entreprene­urship. It will also include the establishm­ent of workshops held daily during the exhibition to increase awareness and knowledge about the franchise and promote ways to communicat­e and benefit from mutual experience­s.

The exhibition will also feature Omani brands looking to export and granting of franchise rights, as well as internatio­nal franchise companies from various countries around the world, such as the USA, Australia, Italy, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, UAE and Saudi Arabia in various sectors including restaurant­s, cafes, retail, technology, health, sport clubs, real estate and others.
