WARRIORS SERVING A NOBLE MISSION

- ABDULAZIZ AL JAHDHAMI aljahdhami22@gmail.com

Everyone of us is willing to lead a decent life; having a reputed job, luxurious home and lavish brand new car. Life is not always fair when it comes to offering opportunities and luck. Sometimes you just need to work really hard while others no matter what they do, it’s their fortune to be poor. Their dream is not even half of what others have; getting food twice a day would be more than enough for them. Thus, people should lend a hand of support to one another, so that everyone could have a fair and decent standard of living. This kind of people in the society need special attention indeed. What they require is very essential so they can manage their day-to-day life properly.

Mahatma Gandhi was totally right when he said: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”.

Today, with remarkable emergence of many charitable organisations almost all over the country, things are getting much better compared to the past. These charities are sparing no effort to provide different kinds of support to the poor and the needy families of the society. The support of these charities to the needy is not limited only to providing daily rations and funding their children school fees, but building them new houses also. It’s really tremendous what these voluntarily organisations do.

The leading and renowned local charitable organisation is Dar Al Atta’a, one of the biggest and first charities in the country. It has been outstandingly serving poor families, the needy and the less privileged over the past decade. Nobody can deny the great efforts and initiatives achieved by this organisation in serving the needy of this blessed land. Their goodwill enthusiastically touches hundreds of families in every corner of the country.

Closely and collaboratively working with different government and private entities, Dar Al Atta’a has brought about various charity initiatives to meet the daily increasing demand of the needy families and their children. Volunteering programmes and initiatives are being introduced every now and then in different occasions and seasons throughout the year. All of this is being presented by the support of the organisation’s staff and groups of volunteers who believe in the significance of voluntarily work.

With no exaggeration, Dar Al Atta’a is doing even more than triple what other charitable groups are doing to the society. It’s true that Dar Al Atta’a is wellestablished and recognised charity, but it’s their passion to serve people what made them surpass what others offer to the society. I’ve joined some of their campaigns and initiatives several times; what they do is a real source of pride indeed. I was honestly pleased to part of their endeavours to serve other people and it was undoubtedly a different sort of feeling.

The unconditional personal compassion and thrill to serve others are the reasons behind their efforts to making all the possibilities to ensure a decent life for others. Sacrificing their own time and efforts day and night is even less than what those volunteers can do to give back to the community. Voluntary warriors of Dar Al Atta’a are making every possibility to serve the noble mission of giving.

Finding a time is not an issue to them; they sacrifice their time during holidays, Eids and special celebrations just to be with the people in need, children at homes or patients at hospitals. All what they are after is just making others happy! May Allah bless you dear charity champions of Dar Al Atta’a for all the joyous moments you share with the needy and patient children; for whatever you give the poor and needy families.

Dar Al Atta’a is and will be always a distinguished role model for all charity organisations in the Sultanate. Hopefully, they follow the steps and bring about different programmes and initiatives to serve different aspects of life of people in the society.
