Oman Tech Awards recognise online excellence

May 7: Creativity, innovation and excellence in website design, social media and online services in the Sultanate were recognised at the maiden edition of the Oman Tech Awards held at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa last week.

The event, which saw more than 200 awards given away in at three dozen categories, was organised by SJS Group in partnership with the Information Technology Authority (ITA) of Oman, and with the support of technology professionals and Omani entrepreneurs. The Chief Guest was Dr Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of Oman Tender Board.

Importantly, the Oman Tech Awards — which is set to be an annual event — applauded excellence across of the platforms that together constitute the social media and online industry in Oman.
