An agreement was signed by Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, with the representatives of Wasal Investment Company on Monday to implement the project in stages.

As per the agreement, the water park would have six different types of water sports equipped with a restaurant and a cafeteria. It also would have an administration building, vast green areas and parking areas.

Work for this is already under way as first phase of the project. The project site is located very close to Itin Recreation area which the official venue of the annual Khareef celebration enclosure known as Salalah Tourism Festival.

The second phase includes water park management, operation and maintenance of the entire project for a period of 25 years.
