Mwasalat, Be’ah sign pact for demo facilities

MUSCAT: Oman National Transport Company Mwasalat and Oman Environmen­tal Services Holding Company Be’ah on Monday signed an agreement for the supply, operation and maintenanc­e of buses that are equipped to act as awareness and education mobile exhibition for Be’ah as per the terms and specificat­ions approved by the two parties.

As per the agreement, Mwasalat will buy one bus which will be the first of its kind in the Sultanate.

The bus will be provided with the various demonstrat­ion facilities that fit travelling for long distances. Mwasalat will operate and maintain the bus as per the best internatio­nal standards.

The agreement was signed by Ahmed bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Mwasalat and Eng Tariq bin Ali al Amri, CEO of Be’ah.

CEO of Mwasalat affirmed that partnershi­ps with the different organisati­ons of the state contribute to developing the services rendered by the two public companies.

He pointed out that signing of such agreements comes within the company’s keenness to find available alternativ­es and options to support the public transport company which will in turn contribute to reducing the public subsidy.

On his part, the CEO of Be’ah said that signing of this agreement comes in a bid by the company to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving environmen­t, especially in waste sector and attract different categories of society.

He pointed out that the agreement enhances partnershi­p between Be’ah and Mwasalat.

As per the agreement, Mwasalat will buy one bus which will be the first of its kind in the Sultanate
