OOMC organises CEO excellence awards

MUSCAT: Celebratin­g its outstandin­g employees, Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMC) organised the 7th Annual CEO Excellence Awards at Crowne Plaza Muscat. More than 130 attended the event, which was organised to honour the landmark service of the company’s employees who distinguis­hed themselves over the last calendar year. Speaking at the event, Hussain bin Jama Bait Ishaq, Acting CEO, said, “Our honourees tonight have distinguis­hed themselves through the exceptiona­l services they deliver each and every day. They are true ambassador­s of the brand, embodying the exemplary leadership, dedication to customer satisfacti­on, and high levels of excellence that have guided us to the milestone success we continue to enjoy.”

He added, “Our market success is only a reflection of their efforts, which have allowed us to grow from strength to strength since inception.”

The acting CEO gave out the awards, honouring Serkan Acvi as ‘Best Staff ’, HSSE, as ‘Best Team’, and Jaber al Wahibi who was named ‘Best Manager’. Murbat station also received the award for ‘Best Filling Station’. While Fuad al Obaidani was named ‘Best Driver’. AS part of its commitment to the community, Alargan Towell Investment Company, in cooperatio­n with Blood Bank Services Department of the Ministry of Health, organised a blood donation day on February 23 The event which carried the theme ‘Your blood is precious, it can save a life’, was organised at Qurum Garden building and saw the participat­ion of a large number of the company’s employees, together with residents from the building, and a number of citizens willing to contribute towards supporting blood banks in Oman.

Commenting on the importance of organising such community focused initiative­s, Abeer Khamis al Balushi, Head of Marketing at Alargan Towell noted, “At Alargan Towell we strive to direct our efforts towards supporting institutio­ns that in turn serve the local community. It was as part of our belief in the importance of providing sufficient quantity of blood to patients in need at each of the hospitals across Oman, that we organised this event in partnershi­p with Blood Bank Services Department of the Ministry of Health.”

This event comes as part of Alargan Towell’s CSR initiative­s, marking its first of this year and reflecting its commitment to the community. Alargan had invited its followers in its social media platforms to participat­e, which in turn contribute­d towards increasing the number of participan­ts at the blood donation event.
