Earth Hour at Al Bustan Palace on March 25

MUSCAT: On March 25, Al Bustan Palace invites guests to join in celebrating the annual global event of Earth Hour from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm, raising awareness on sustainability issues on the planet.

The initiative, which was founded by World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), is the largest environmentawareness symbolic event in the world with millions of communities taking part each year, and gives everyone the opportunity to make an impact.

Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, will switch off non-essential lights in the hotel and the majestic Atrium lobby lounge during Earth Hour. Six Senses Spa at Al Bustan Palace will offer a yoga and meditation class at night in the gardens by the candle light.

Children will also be invited to take part in the initiative, with a lanternmaking class offered exclusively on that day by the Ritz Kids team, in preparation of Earth Hour. At Beach Pavilion Bar & Grill, dinner will be served in a dimmed ambience by the candle light, complemented by fire torches on the beach.

To increase the awareness of the sustainability of food system, Al Khiran Terrace restaurant will serve organic salads, from the hotel’s organic garden.
