Earth Hour at Al Bustan Palace on March 25

MUSCAT: On March 25, Al Bustan Palace invites guests to join in celebratin­g the annual global event of Earth Hour from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm, raising awareness on sustainabi­lity issues on the planet.

The initiative, which was founded by World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), is the largest environmen­tawareness symbolic event in the world with millions of communitie­s taking part each year, and gives everyone the opportunit­y to make an impact.

Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, will switch off non-essential lights in the hotel and the majestic Atrium lobby lounge during Earth Hour. Six Senses Spa at Al Bustan Palace will offer a yoga and meditation class at night in the gardens by the candle light.

Children will also be invited to take part in the initiative, with a lanternmak­ing class offered exclusivel­y on that day by the Ritz Kids team, in preparatio­n of Earth Hour. At Beach Pavilion Bar & Grill, dinner will be served in a dimmed ambience by the candle light, complement­ed by fire torches on the beach.

To increase the awareness of the sustainabi­lity of food system, Al Khiran Terrace restaurant will serve organic salads, from the hotel’s organic garden.
