Turkey keen on exchange of high-level leadership visits

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Sunday received Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, and his delegation.

HH Sayyid Fahd reviewed the strong relations binding the two countries, as well as the joint keenness to expand cooperatio­n in all fields.

The guest expressed his country’s appreciati­on to the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan for its wise policy and constructi­ve role in promoting understand­ing and rapprochem­ent among countries.

He also affirmed the keenness of the Turkish leadership to exchange highlevel visits between the two countries in an embodiment of the progress being witnessed by the relations, as well as enhancing cooperatio­n with the Sultanate in several fields to serve the joint interests.

Conversati­on during the meeting touched on the latest developmen­ts being witnessed by the region, as well as the regional and internatio­nal efforts exerted to maintain and stability in the region.

Separately, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsibl­e for Foreign Affairs, received Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

The two sides discussed existing cooperatio­n between the two countries in various fields. They also exchanged viewpoints on various regional and security internatio­nal issues of common concern and the latest developmen­ts in the region.

The meeting was attended by Dr Mohammed bin Awadh al Hassan, Acting Undersecre­tary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, and officials in the ministry. From the Turkish side it was attended by the official delegation accompanyi­ng the Turkish guest.
