The seminar comes within the framework of the Council’s keenness on community participation and enhancing communication with the community. It included a number of themes, including parliamentary awareness among youth and how to develop it.

A film about the role of the State Council and the development of Majlis Ash’shura in the Sultanate and its role in the national work through the exercise of powers and competencies was presented during the occasion.

Abdullah bin Saleh al Braiki, Assistant Secretary-General for Public Information and Public Relations, delivered a speech in which he explained that the allocation of the October 26th each year to the Omani youth is one of the manifestations of such a generous patronage of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to the youth.

He added that the participation of the State Council on this occasion comes in response to the Royal Directives to pay attention to youth and reflects its keenness to communicate with the community in all its different sectors, especially youth, which constitute the largest proportion of the young Omani society.
