MUSCAT: Jebel Sifah, hosts of the upcoming XDubai Spartan Race, has issued a final call for registrations to Oman’s second XDubai Spartan Race, which is set to be held this Friday. The event has already attracted a wide range of participants ranging from female athletes to environmentalists, with up to 4,000 Spartans from Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and beyond set to attend. Omani Marwa al Wadhahi, a member of the Sultanate’s national team at the Spartan World Championship last September, will be on-hand to highlight the importance of female empowerment through sports during the day-long event. As part of its efforts to encourage their participation, Jebel Sifah will be supporting al Wadhahi and all women-Spartans looking to enjoy the Sultanate’s second Spartan Race event. Additionally, renowned NGO, the Environment Society of Oman, have launched the #sprintforoman campaign in conjunction with the Spartan Race to encourage residents to give back to the environment.

With two adult courses and a course for children, this year’s edition is expected to attract over 4,000 sportsmen. The event will feature the Spartan Sprint, a 5+KM race with more than 20 thrilling obstacles that represent a perfect introduction to the Spartan lifestyle for all first timers; and new for this year, the Spartan Super, where racers can test themselves over 12 kilometres and 25 obstacles. With a limited number of spots available, prospective contestants should hurry and register online at www. spartanarabia.com.
