RAO opens Border Guard camp in Haima
MUSCAT: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) on Monday celebrated the opening of Mua’skar (camp) Haima of the Command of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Border Guard Brigade. The celebration was held under the auspices of Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs.
At the beginning celebration, the chief of the guest inspected the column of the guard of honour and witnessed alongside with the gathering a parade for a number of equipment and vehicles that support the Border Guard Brigade. He then listened to a briefing on the Mua’skar and its duties.
During the celebration, the chief guest handed over medals of long service and good conduct to a number of personnel of the Border Guard Brigade.
The Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs then toured the permanent exhibition for weapons and equipment used by the Border Guard Bridge. He also toured the Mua’skar and hailed the equipment and facilities provided to it. He affirmed the continuous modernisation of the Sultan’s Armed Forces during the blessed era of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander Armed Forces.
