MUSCAT: RAHRC overcame superb all-round effort from Krishor Krishnan to defeat Mustafa Sultan Enterprises (MSE) by 19 runs in a pulsating F Division clash at Muscat Municipality ground 4 in Al Amerat on Friday.

Asked to bat first, RAHRC was dismissed for 161 in the 19th over as Krishor struck three vital blows to slow down its march towards a big total. Captain Abdullah Alam and Hillary Dsouza bagged two wickets each. Naheem Pasha (53 off 36) and Ajithkumar Krishna (26 off 17) were the main scorers for RAHRC.

Reeling at 42 for 5, MSE was down in the dumps before Krishor’s heroic knock (63 off 42) brought it closer to an improbable victory. After his fall at 129 for 8, MSE folded up quickly, getting dismissed for 142 in the final over. Captain Nandkumar Jadhav bowled well to claim four wickets while Karthik Rajappa took two. MATIULLAH BOWLS CLASSIC TO VICTORY A magnificent four-wicket spell by Matiullah helped Classic CT thrash Hussain Fadhil and Partners (HFP) by nine wickets in a G Division match at Muscat Municipality ground 4.

HFP won the toss but little else, getting bowled out for a paltry 46 in the 11th over due largely to excellent bowling by Matiullah who gave away just 8 runs while taking four wickets in his 3 overs. Abdul Latheef bagged three wickets to lend him great support from the other end.
