ODB honours best branches for 2017

MUSCAT: Oman Development Bank (ODB) celebrated honouring of its best branches in the fourth annual competition of excellence for 2017. The event held under the auspicious of Dr Fuad bin Jaafar Al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, at the Sondos Rotana Muscat Hotel on Wednesday.

The celebrations were also attended by Abdulsalam Al Kharousi, acting chairman of the board of directors of the ODB, Shaikh Dr Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Hinai, the chief executive officer and board members and branch managers of the bank in various governorates of the Sultanate.

The annual competition of excellence which held at the branches level of the ODB is aimed at improving the indicators of performance, quality and marketing activity of the bank’s products. This also helps in promotion of better work culture in its branches to achieve the objectives of the bank for the development of value added and innovative projects. This is part of the new strategy of the bank and government’s plan to support diversification of the economy.

The annual competition is being held by the ODB at the branches level since last four years to enhance skills, creativity and potentials of it’s employees in its various branches and motivate them to work with passion and perfection. The idea of the competition is to motivate the branches to sustain their success and improve their mechanisms and develop creative and innovative ideas.
