‘All Oman Initiative’ concludes in Muscat

MUSCAT: The Future Vision Office Oman 2040 concluded the ‘All Oman Initiative’, which toured all governorat­es of the Sultanate since its launch from March 25 to May 7.

The citizens of the Governorat­e of Muscat will meet to take part in forming the future vision at Oil and Gas Institute in Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).

The event was attended by Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, walis, members of the State Council, members of Majlis Ash’shura, citizens of all segments of the society and a large number of citizens wishing to contribute to the preparatio­n and developmen­t of Oman Vision 2040.

The proceeding­s of the initiative started with a public session, dialogue session with the people of the governorat­e and the participat­ion of experts and representa­tives of the committees of Oman Vision 2040.

The session dealt with the issues of vision in an open dialogue with the participan­ts to express their opinion, aspiration­s and ideas for the future of the governorat­e in particular and the future of the Sultanate in general.

The ‘All Oman Initiative’ aims to promote a participat­ory approach in which all segments of society participat­e in the formulatio­n and preparatio­n of the future vision.

The Oman Vision 2040 Office implements a number of communicat­ion initiative­s aimed at reaching all segments of the society and its sectors, and involve them in formulatin­g and developing the vision for the future of Oman 2040 to come out with the preliminar­y document that all segments of society will contribute in its preparatio­n, ending in the national conference that will crown the document at the local, regional and global levels.
