NMC Healthcare reveals plans for Oman

New Medical Centre ((NMC), a leading healthcare group originatin­g from the UAE and spread across the region and Latin American countries, has revealed it’s ambitious plans for the Sultanate at an event held at the Kempinski on Monday.

Primarily, the group which was the first from the region to be listed at the London Sock Exchange is set to become the largest healthcare provider in the Sultanate of Oman through sharing its global expertise with a local experience with its clientele.

The ambitious expansion plans will be implemente­d through expansion and new investment­s in healthcare infrastruc­ture in Oman which will provide access to world-class healthcare to both the citizens and expatriate­s alike, the management said.

“NMC Health is committed to working with the Sultanate’s key stakeholde­rs to help foster economic growth through the creation of jobs, economic diversific­ation, as well as the promotion of healthcare tourism to further attract foreign tourists to the Sultanate and the GCC region”, said Prasanth Manghat, CEO, NMC Health and Executive Director.

Earlier in the day, a senior delegation from NMC lead by the CEO and Executive Director Prasanth Manghat called on Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health at the ministry who assured all support to the group as the country is keen on supporting private healthcare sector. “We reckon the contributi­ons made by NMC in the region and welcome them to the Sultanate of Oman to bring their global expertise to the communitie­s residing here and more importantl­y create jobs and healthcare infrastruc­ture in the country”, the minister said.

“We believe quality healthcare is a fundamenta­l right of every citizen, and we partner with every patient to ensure they receive the best-in-class healthcare services they deserve,” Manghat added.
