-

Three Omani Art Ambassadors participated at the Second International Art Symposium in Thailand, the event that is held annually by the DFG IAU Organization. The Omani artists are Noora al Balushia who won the Golden medal, Zainab al Ajmia (Silver medal), Laila al Jahwaria and Saud al Hanini.

“Art Exhibitions are always a source of inspiration for the artist” says Laila al Jahwaria, and the international participations contribute at expanding the horizons of the artist, and seriously works to transfer the different cultures and promote art principles.”

“My participation in this symposium motivated me to enhance my skills and to get introduced to new techniques in the field. As Omanis are attached to their own identity, such participations form their skills in a better way. The artist carries a message in all his works and we, as Omanis, wish to deliver the “Peace” message around the world.

In her photo “Romeo and Juliet”, the artist shortened the last scene of the play of Romeo and Juliet with two drought leaves, as a representation of the death of lovers.

From her side, Zainab explains that her participation comes to reinforce the culture of the artist as to share expertise with other international artists. Zainab wishes that audience could read all the feelings she put in her work through the different colours.

Painted with abstract style and acrylic colours, her work titled “Love, survival or separation” tells the story of love between a woman and a man, but a third party intervenes between the two lovers and put them with confronting their destiny of survival or separation.

Noora participated with a work depicting the old heritage doors from the Omani forts. “The work with international artists helps the Omani artists to explore their potentials better and form an idea of their future targets”, Noora said.

The president of DFG IAU Organization said, “fine art is considered the identity and treasure transferred by the fingers of any nations’ youth to the world. One main target of this symposium is to show creativity and distinction of all youth and their ability to paint their feelings, thoughts and reality into photos.”

Saud al Hanini, a promising Omani artist and the coordinator of the event, said, “Omanis prove their ability to compete and win in many international contests.

They also positively transferred the Omani identity and culture to the world.”
