Oman 7th Ara­bian Horse Show con­cludes

As many as 56 horses par­tic­i­pated at Oman 7th Ara­bian Horse Show which was or­gan­ised by Royal Cav­alry and su­per­vised by ECAHO re­cently in Al Rahba Eques­trian Arena in Wilayat of Barka.

Horse “Na­jya Adeyat” for Royal Cav­alry won the ti­tle of class 2 fil­lies cat­e­gory (2-3 years) while “Lathif ” claimed award of se­nior stal­lion’s cham­pi­onship cat­e­gory. Alex­en­dra R C for Royal Cav­alry grabbed the ti­tle of cat­e­gory of class 4 fil­lies cat­e­gory (4-5 years) while “S.Q Moaz” for Mah­mood al Naabi bagged the award of class 4 fil­lies cat­e­gory (6-8 years). “Mufrih” for Royal Cav­alry won the ti­tle of geld­ings cham­pi­onship.

The two-day event recorded tough com­pe­ti­tion in all cat­e­gories and cham­pi­onship ti­tles. The fi­nal day showed recorded se­ries of eques­trian dis­plays. Ponies took ride by chil­dren. Also, horse rid­ers showed their high tech­ni­cal skills.

Shaikh Saad bin Mo­hammed al Saadi, Min­is­ter of Sports Af­fairs, was the chief guest in pres­ence of Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, Sec­re­tary­gen­eral of the Royal Court Af­fairs and top dig­ni­taries. He de­liv­ered the awards to top win­ners. Chief guest and in­vi­tees took a visit round in the ex­hi­bi­tion which is or­gan­ised as part of the event where some gov­ern­ment en­ti­ties par­tic­i­pated in­clud­ing Royal Cav­alry, Sultan Qa­boos Univer­sity, Min­istry of Tourism and the Pub­lic Au­thor­ity for Craft In­dus­tries in ad­di­tion to a num­ber of in­di­vid­u­als where they showed their items of horse, eques­tri­ans and her­itage.

A group of show horses from Royal Cav­alry, Sultan Qa­boos Univer­sity, Ger­man Univer­sity in ad­di­tion to a num­ber of horse sta­bles in Oman took part in this edi­tion of show.

The judges com­mit­tee con­sisted of a crew ap­proved by ECAHO as fol­lows: Richard Pi­histrom from France, Mar­tine Alphon­sine from Bel­gium, Bruce Wil­lian from USA, Jonas Salz­mann from Nether­lands and Su­laiman al Hat­tali from Oman.
