Muscat join Assarain at top, ISM too good for hapless ISD
MUSCAT: Oman national star Jatinder Singh slammed an unbeaten century as Muscat CT secured their second successive win in two days, beating IT Works comfortably by 8 wickets in a Premier Division game at Oman Cricket’s grassy ground 1 on Saturday.
Muscat had defeated Renaissance on Friday and now join Assarain at the top of the table with eight points each though Assarain has played five games compared to Muscat’s six.
Invited to bat first, IT Works were struggling at 21 for 3 before recovering to post 205 for 8 on the board in 50 overs thanks to a solid 88 by Sudeep Chavan. Fast bowler Munis Ansari captured 3 for 40 while Siddharth Prasad and Samay Shrivastava claimed two wickets each.
Opener Jatinder led the chase with a sparkling 113 not out, getting good support from Aniruddha Chore who contributed 46 as Muscat overhauled the target in the 35th over, scoring 206 for 2 for an easy win.

ISM WIN BY 235 RUNS In a Junior Division Under-19 clash, Indian School Muscat (ISM) thrashed Indian School Darsait (ISD) by 235 runs at Oman Cricket’s grassy ground 2 on Saturday.
ISM amassed 302 for 3 in 50 overs thanks to brilliant batting by Tanuj Sivakumar (70 not out), Yash Verma (63) and Ahitya Gurmukhi (60 not out). ISD captain Arjun

ISD failed to fight, folding up for a meagre 67 in the 20th over, Jeeven Poulose top-scoring with 23. Mohsin Alimamad and Arjun Suresh claimed three wickets each while Tanuj Sivakumar took two.
