Muscat Airport gets top health accrediton

Muscat Internatio­nal Airport became the first airport in the Middle East to achieve the Airports Council Internatio­nal (ACI) Airport Health Accreditat­ion, based on a programme designed to assist airports by assessing new health measures and procedures introduced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This certificat­e recognises Muscat Airport’s commitment to prioritisi­ng health and safety measures in accordance with industry best practices and internatio­nal health and safety protocols.

“Health and safety have always been top priority for Muscat Airport. In achieving this global health accreditat­ion, Muscat Internatio­nal Airport once again demonstrat­es its team’s commitment in taking appropriat­e steps to reduce the risk of exposure at our airports.,” said Saud bin Nasser al Hobeishi, Oman

The Airport Health Accreditat­ion programme was establishe­d to restore confidence in travellers about the safety of airport facilities and the effectiven­ess of the precaution­ary measures implemente­d to prevent any risk to their health.

This accreditat­ion is a recognitio­n of all the COVID-19 measures that the authoritie­s have been implementi­ng at Muscat Internatio­nal Airport since the onset of the pandemic. It also consolidat­es the airport’s commitment to uphold the best standards of health and safety at all airports in Oman and when serving its customers.
