Today last day to register to vote

MUSCAT: In the run-up for the forthcoming Municipal Councils Elections, Third Term, it has been decided that the period allowed for the registration of voters in the elections’ register ends on Thursday, November 17, which is also the deadline for transfer of voters’ electoral files from one wilayat to another.

The Ministry of Interior called on citizens who have not previously been registered in the electoral register to quickly submit their requests for registration in the electoral register through the website “elections.om”. The application should quote the voters’ addresses registered in their ID cards, provided that the cards are equipped with the electronic certification system “Public Key Infrastructure or PKI”.
