Citizens of Al Hallaniyat Islands value Royal directives to inspect projects

Citizens of the Niyabat of Al Hallaniyat Islands valued the officials’ inspection of developmen­t and services projects in the islands of Al Hallaniyah and Al Soda in the Niyabat of Al Hallaniyat Islands in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Al Hallaniyat Islands.

They voiced hope that the visit would realise their aspiration­s regarding the completion of services and facilities of the fishing harbour, the provision of social housing for entitled citizens and developing land transporta­tion services.

Dr Masoud bin Salim al Kathiri, Wali of Shaleem and Al Hallaniyat Islands, said: “The citizens were so delighted with this visit hoping that it would fulfil their aspiration­s of completing the developmen­t and services projects. They praised the Royal directives to the officials to visit the Niyabat of Al Hallaniyat Islands and inspect the projects under implementa­tion as well as identify the citizens’ needs.”

Said bin Ahmed al Bathari, Deputy Wali of Shaleem and Al Hallaniyat Islands, said: “In conjunctio­n with the National Day celebratio­ns, the Royal directives issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik were a source of delight for the citizens. This is a strong testament to His Majesty’s keenness and followup to citizens’ needs. We hope to see the implementa­tion of Al Soda tourism project and the completion of services and facilities at the fishing port and the constructi­on of more social houses for entitled citizens. Besides, the citizens are looking forward to developing maritime transport services through a fixed schedule of the ferry and developing tourism by building a hotel in the island to cater to tourist’s needs.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak al Shehri, expressed his happiness over His Majesty’s directives to the officials to visit the Niyabat of Al Hallaniyat Islands to identify the citizens’ needs. He added that the citizens are eying more services and projects that cater to the needs of the citizens.

We are so thankful and appreciati­ve to His Majesty for directing the officials to inspect projects in Al Hallaniya island. We were so delighted upon their arrival in the island and we aspire for more projects and services.”

Mohammed bin Nasser al Araimi said: “The citizens of the Niyabat of Al Hallaniyat Islands are pinning great hope on developing tourism, completing the passenger terminal and the runway. They hope to see more facilities at the fishing harbour and the provision of social housing.
