King of Jordan confers First Class Order on Omani Ambassador
AMMAN: King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan conferred the Order of Independence (First Class) on Shaikh Hilal bin Marhoon al Maamari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Jordan, at the end of his tour of duty as ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Jordan. Bestowing the Order on the Shaikh Al Maamari also comes in appreciation of his efforts in carrying out diplomatic duties, which has contributed to strengthening the Omanijordanian relations.
The Order was conferred on the ambassador when the Monarch of Jordan received him at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the King of Jordan asked the ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
On his turn, the ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Jordanian King for honouring him with the Order of Independence (First Class). He also thanked the government of Jordan for the cooperation provided to him during his tenure in Jordan.
