Bank Muscat concludes Tadhamun programme, supports over 200 social welfare families in 2022

Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, has successful­ly concluded the 2022 edition of its landmark Tadhamun programme, which is implemente­d annually in line with the bank’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibi­lity and community service.

The bank executed the programme for the 10th consecutiv­e year, in partnershi­p with the Ministry of Social Developmen­t, with a joint team distributi­ng household appliances to over 200 social welfare families across different governorat­es in the Sultanate.

A number of volunteers from the bank participat­ed in the programme and distribute­d over 800 household appliances including air conditione­rs, refrigerat­ors and other appliances to the beneficiar­y families.

It is a matter of great encouragem­ent to the bank’s strong efforts in social responsibi­lity that the Tadhamun programme has so far benefitted 1,880 families since being launched in 2013. with specialist­s from the Ministry of Social Developmen­t, who received applicatio­ns and finalised the list of families entitled for the benefits.

The bank has been particular­ly encouraged by its partnershi­p with the ministry on a number of initiative­s including Tadhamun in line with its commitment to public-private partnershi­p.

Bank Muscat also took the opportunit­y to thank the Ministry of Social Developmen­t and members of its volunteer team for the successful implementa­tion of the programme.

Bank Muscat, which is Oman’s leading financial services provider, runs several long-term social responsibi­lity projects including Green Sports, Al Wathbah SME Academy, the Maliyat financial literacy programme and Irshad financial coaching, which are all aimed at supporting different segments of Omani society.

This year, the bank extended its support to 20 youth sports teams as part of its flagship Green Sports programme.

The bank has recently signed an agreement to implement an advanced training programme for 30 Omani entreprene­urs. Bank Muscat also continues to closely partner with the Royal Oman Police to curb cyber fraud through repeated awareness campaigns for the general public.

Over the past decades, the bank has been working closely with government institutio­ns and a number of civil-society organisati­ons to support programmes, which create sustainabl­e, positive changes in communitie­s across the Sultanate. As a result, Bank Muscat was once again honoured in 2022 by the Ministry of Social Developmen­t for its pioneering role in Corporate Social Responsibi­lity.
