AVOD employees take part in Muscat Marathon

Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivative­s (AVOD), Oman’s most trusted brand, has always endeavoure­d to take part in events that are not just good for community bonding, but also promote physical and mental well-being.

To reinforce its commitment to supporting local events and reaffirm its ‘Eat Right, Live Well’ philosophy, AVOD and its employees took part in this year Al Mouj Muscat Marathon that was held on November 11 and 12. The Al Mouj Muscat Marathon, that saw the participat­ion of 12,000 runners this year, is undoubtedl­y Oman’s biggest running event.

Salem Bortmany, CEO of AVOD, said, “As a healthcons­cious brand we have always taken part in community events such as the Muscat Marathon to not just commit to an active and healthy lifestyle, but also contribute to the awareness of benefits that physical activity brings with it.”

Sixty employees, consisting of both men and women, represente­d AVOD in the marathon to champion the cause of health and well-being that has been the cornerston­e of AVOD’S transforma­tion journey for over 30 years.

AVOD runners were present on both days of the event that consisted of 5 km, 10 km, and 1 km races in Al Mouj area.

Applauding the AVOD team for a fabulous performanc­e on the track, Bortmany said, “I would also like to take this opportunit­y to express my appreciati­on for AVOD employees, who have always been exemplary health ambassador­s for the brand.”
