Royal Academy to focus on ‘Future Leaders’ programme
The Royal Academy of Management’s Board of Trustees reviewed the academy’s accomplishments, strategic plans for 2024, and upcoming initiatives designed to enhance national leadership across all levels. The discussions underscored the academy’s ongoing efforts to equip both the public and private sectors with empowered leaders and skilled professionals.
The board held its third meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Management. This meeting marks a pivotal moment in the academy’s annual agenda, setting the strategic direction for the year ahead.
Sayyid Khalid welcomed the board members and commended the academy on celebrating the first anniversary of the Royal visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. He also highlighted the launch of a commemorative postage stamp.
During the meeting, Sayyid Khalid emphasised that the strategic activities planned for the academy in 2024 are a direct embodiment of His Majesty the Sultan’s vision for Oman. The initiatives are geared towards nurturing leadership in diverse sectors, thereby contributing to Oman’s positioning among the developed nations.
“The academy’s focus is aligned with His Majesty’s supreme directives to cultivate a leadership community through structured programmes and dialogues,” Sayyid Khalid said.
The 2024 plan includes a new ‘Future Leaders’ programme highlighting the academy’s comprehensive approach to embrace leadership communities and develop human capital across various fields. These initiatives aim to prepare Oman for future challenges and opportunities by fostering a deeper understanding of emerging trends and developments.
Moreover, the meeting delved into the specifics of the ‘Future of Government Work’ programme, which targets directors in the GCC government sector, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to effectively translate visions and strategies into reality.
“The academy is poised for the future with our ‘Future Readiness Initiatives,’ aiming to empower leaders with profound understanding of trends that will shape the future landscape of nations,” he added.
The formation of the Royal Academy of Management’s Board of Trustees, honoured by the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, represents a key milestone in Oman’s educational and leadership development journey. The board, comprising esteemed members from various sectors, underscores the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to advancing leadership and administrative excellence.
