Over RO 22 mn projects under implementa­tion in Al Dakhiliyah

Al Dakhiliyah Governorat­e is witnessing the implementa­tion of multiple developmen­t and service projects as part of the Governorat­es Developmen­ts Programme and the Balanced Developmen­t Programme which aim at achieving several national developmen­t objectives and pillars and meeting citizens’ needs in accordance to the previously set priorities.

The Office of Al Dakhiliyah Governor explained that 43 projects are currently under implementa­tion at a total value of RO 22, 283,000. Those projects include road paving and rehabilita­tion, developing markets, creating public parks and gardens and beautifica­tion projects.

Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, affirmed that the implementa­tion of these projects is among the priorities set for this this year with focus on enhancing the social and economic dimension of developmen­t, and providing public services that meet the needs of community members and keep pace with the commercial, tourism and entertainm­ent movement in partnershi­p with the private sector.

Among the most important road projects currently under constructi­on are the internal road paving project in Bahla with a length of 62 km, and paving of internal road in Al Hamra with a length of 51 km which is expected to be completed in the last quarter of this year

currently under implementa­tion are constructi­on and rehabilita­tion of internal roads and public car parks, establishi­ng and renovation of markets and public parks, developing commercial complexes, beautifica­tion of the entrances of the wilayats, lighting of internal roads and installing LED lamps, among others, the governor said.

These projects are expected to improve the investment environmen­t in Al Dakhiliyah Governorat­e, the governor said stressing that the governorat­e boasts diverse economic opportunit­ies. The governorat­e also seeks to bring in projects that enhance the governorat­e’s central role of tapping available opportunit­ies by both Omani and foreign investors within a suitable environmen­t characteri­sed by innovation and flexibilit­y and an administra­tion that keeps pace with the latest internatio­nal developmen­ts.

Engineer Sulaiman bin Hamad al Sunaidy, Directorge­neral of Al Dakhiliyah Municipali­ty, said that among the most important road projects currently under constructi­on are the internal road paving project in the Wilayat of Bahla with a length of 62 km, and paving of internal road in the Wilayat of Al Hamra with a length of 51 km which is expected to be completed in the last quarter of this year.
