Al Assalah Towers art contest celebrates creativity

The Third Al Assalah Towers Art Competitio­n, held on March 29, witnessed the participat­ion of 84 talented children aged 4-16 years from the Al Assalah Towers (Al Ghubra, Muscat) community. The event, organised during the blessed occasion of Ramadhan, aimed to foster creativity and strengthen community ties.

Supported by Prestige Properties, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, The Movers, Shah Nagardas, Kaldi 850 Coffee, Al Mnarh, 968 The Food Studio, Kesar Restaurant and Begum’s Restaurant, the competitio­n provided a platform for young artists to showcase their talents.

Tarini Aggarwal, an awardwinni­ng artist renowned for her exceptiona­l creativity, and Dr C Jawahar, an esteemed fine art profession­al and faculty from the Scientific College of Design, served as judges for the event. Their expertise and discernmen­t ensured a fair and inspiring evaluation process. They also inspired and encouraged the young artists with valuable tips.

“The overwhelmi­ng response to this event reflects the vibrant spirit of our community and the deep-rooted appreciati­on for art and creativity,” mentioned Pragya Bhatnagar, a resident artist of Al Assalah Towers and organiser of the art event.

Emphasisin­g the importance of such initiative­s in nurturing young talent, attendees remarked that art is not just about aesthetics; it’s about expression and imaginatio­n. Through this competitio­n, the aim was to encourage young artists to explore their creativity freely.

The event culminated in a prize distributi­on ceremony attended by over 200 residents of Al Assalah Towers. Participan­ts were honoured for their artistic endeavours, and winners were awarded with trophies, certificat­es of merit and attractive prizes.
