Eid festivities bring cheer to Shinas
ANatmosphere of joy and happinessprevailedthroughout the Wilayat of Shinas during blessed Eid al Fitr as people exchanged greetings and tookpartinvariouseventsandactivities.
The wilayat witnessed many diverse events held in various centres and villages, including artistic performances, poetry evenings, and sports competitions for children. Some families also organised traditional games and prepared sweets and traditional cuisine.
People visited the elderly, relatives, and friends to exchange greetings embodying the spirit of solidarity and cooperation that distinguishes Omani society. Homes witnessed an atmosphere of warmth and joy, as families gathered to eat the traditional lunch, which included various types of grilled meat and sweets.
Various government and private agencies contributed to adding joy to the Eid atmosphere by organising diverse events suitable for all ages. The events included entertaining theatrical performances by a local theater group, which were well received by the audience, especially the children who interacted with the performers. The events also witnessed juggling by a skilled artist who amazed the audience with his skills and agility.
The events were not limited to adults only, but the municipality also allocated an area for children to play and have fun, where various games were provided to suit all ages, in addition to face painting, in cooperation with the Creative Private School.
Many of the attendees expressed their happiness with these events, stressing that they contributed to adding an atmosphere of joy and happiness to the blessed Eid al Fitr.
