Oman Investment Authority adds two new board members
The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) has announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors: Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Eng Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals. OIA expressed its enthusiasm to have them join the board.
Dr Al Habsi and Eng Al Aufi bring extensive experience from their respective sectors, adding valuable insights to OIA’S leadership team. Their involvement is expected to enhance the Authority’s strategic initiatives in advancing economic development and sustainable growth.
The OIA also extended its heartfelt thanks to outgoing board members Gudmundur Arnason, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in Iceland (International Member), Dr Nasser bin Rashid al Maawali, Under-secretary of the Ministry of Economy, and Shaikh Abdullah al Salmi, Executive President of the Financial Services Authority.
The Oman Investment Authority expressed its gratitude for the departing members’ dedication and impact on the Authority’s progress and achievements. Their efforts have played a key role in shaping OIA’S success and strategic direction.
