RAM concludes ‘Train the Trainer Programme’

The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) celebrated the graduation of 24 trainers of ‘Train the Trainer Programme’, conducted in collaborat­ion with the Ministry of Finance (Offset) and under the supervisio­n of Eiler Executive Education Center at the University of Arizona.

The ceremony was held under the aupices of Mahmoud bin Abdullah al Owaini, Secretaryg­eneral of the Ministry of Finance, and was attended by Dr Ali bin

Qasim al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management.

The programme was implemente­d over two consecutiv­e years, and included a number of trainers from various government units and the private sector. The programme included many discussion panels and educationa­l units that honed the trainees’ skills andraiseth­eirefficie­ncyandtrai­ning capabiliti­es to reach the level of internatio­nal profession­alism at the hands of the most skilled experts.

Dr Ali al Lawati, said that the programme is consistent with the academy’s strategic plans, and also reflects its vision in enhancing executive, leadership and institutio­nal innovation. It also aims to implement programmes that keep pace with Oman Vision 2040 and contribute to building a sustainabl­e base for leaders in government sectors.

Al Owaini indicated that the implementa­tion of the integrated programme with the University of Arizona aims to enhance functional and institutio­nal performanc­e and improve the system, by building a community of trainers capable of transferri­ng knowledge and experience­s to national cadres, and the implementa­tion of this programme comes within the efforts of the Partnershi­p for

Developmen­t Programme ( Offset) at the Ministry of Finance, within the framework of transferri­ng modern technology and building national competenci­es in various sectors, through partnershi­ps with internatio­nal institutio­ns and companies.

Dr Yasmine al Balushi, Director of ‘Training a Certified Leadership Instructor’ programme, explained that the aim of the programme was to qualify Omani trainers to build qualified national capabiliti­es in providing leadership programmes at the local, regional and global levels. She pointed out the importance of forming a database of high-quality trainers for training who focus on quality rather than quantity so as to transfer knowledge and skills to achieve sustainabi­lity in implementi­ng leadership programmes.

Abdullah bin Mohammad al Abri, Director-general of Partnershi­p and Privatisat­ion Unit at the Ministry of Finance, explained that the programme enhances the spirit of leadership and marginal management, and to develop the work mechanisms of middle administra­tions in the state’s administra­tive apparatus.
