HM issues five Royal Decrees

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has issued five Royal Decrees as follows:

Royal Decree No. 24/2013 transferri­ng the affiliatio­n of Oman Centre for Traditiona­l Music from the Ministry of Informatio­n to the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.

Article One: All the allocation­s and assets of Oman Centre for Music shall be transferre­d to Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science along with all employees at the said centre.

Article Two: The decree cancels all that may contravene or contradict with its provisions.

Article Three: The decree comes into force from the date of its issue.

Royal Decree No. 25/ 2013 appointing non-resident ambassador.

Article One: Appoints Sayyid Qais bin Salim bin Ali Al Said, Sultanate’s ambassador to the Republic of Turkey as the Sultanate’s extraordin­ary, plenipoten­tiary and non-resident ambassador to the Republic of Georgia.

Article Two: The decree comes into force from the date of its issue.

Royal Decree No. 26/2013 regarding the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Agreement on Port State Measures to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulate­d Fishing.

Article One: Approving the Sultanate of Oman’s joining of the said agreement as per the attached text.

Article Two: The authoritie­s concerned shall deposit the joining document of the said agreement as per its provisions.

Article Three: The decree takes effect from the date of its issue.

Royal Decree No. 27/2013 on the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and the Safety of Radioactiv­e Waste Management.

Article One: Approving the Sultanate of Oman’s joining of the said agreement.

Article Two: The authoritie­s concerned shall deposit the joining documents of the convention as per its provisions.

Article Three: The decree comes into force from the date of its issue.

Royal Decree No. 28/2013 ratifying the oil concession agreement signed on March 26, 2013 between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Petrotel Oman Onshore LLC for the blocks No. 39 and 67.

Article One: Ratifying the said agreement.

Article Two: The decree takes effect from the date of its issue.
