Fahd, Magariaf review ties
MUSCAT: An official session of talks was held between the Sultanate and Libya at the Council of Ministers headquarters in Muscat yesterday.
The Omani side was led by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, while the Libyan side was led by Dr Mohammed bin Yousef Al Magariaf, Chairman of the Libyan National Congress.

On his part, Al Magariaf expressed his joy over his visit and hailed the comprehensive development and achievements made by the Sultanate at the domestic and foreign fronts under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, thus enhancing its expertise in many fields. He then explained the status quo in Libya and the efforts made to ensure development.
The talks also covered a number of issues to enhance bilateral cooperation, especially those relating to activating agreements and benefiting from the Sultanate’s experience in the legislative, economic and service fields. The meeting also discussed a number of issues at the regional and international levels. The leaders also discussed the latest regional developments and their implication on security and stability.
