HM receives credential­s of envoys

MANAH: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said received the credential­s of a number of ambassador­s of countries accredited to the Sultanate at Hisn Al Shumoukh in the wilayat of Manah, yesterday evening.

His Majesty received the credential­s of Lungile Pepani, ambassador of the Republic of South Africa; Sheikh Sekander Ali, am- bassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; Husam Asa’ad Diyab, ambassador of the Lebanese Republic; Dr Adrian Macelaru, ambassador of the Republic of Romania; Tomislav Bosnjak, ambassador of the Republic of Croatia and Dr Robert Kokali, ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia.

During the side meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassador­s conveyed the greetings of the leaders of their countries along with their best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty and the Omani people continuous progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s wise leadership. They expressed their honour and happiness to present their credential­s to His Majesty. They affirmed to exert their efforts to develop relations of their countries with the Sultanate in various spheres to serve the joint interests of the Omani people and the people of their countries.

His Majesty welcomed the ambassador­s and thanked the leaders of their countries for their greetings and best wishes. His Majesty affirmed to the ambassador­s that they would receive all support from His Majesty, the government and the Omani people to enable them to carry out their duties.

The credential­s presentati­on ceremony was also attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Minister Responsibl­e for Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Royal Protocols, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and the Military Aides of His Majesty the Sultan.
